Meeting with WWF concerning the exchange of experience related to the implementation of LIFE projects
On February 19, 2018 a meeting between IOŚ-PIB and WWF Polska/InE took place. During the meeting, experiences related to the implementation of projects under the LIFE funding was exchanged, the possible scope of cooperation was discussed, and views on current problems with the implementation of the climate and energy policy were shared.
The meeting of both teams was an opportunity to conduct a debate on the climate, data availability and reports that could help in the analysis of the energy and climate policy. During the meeting, it was pointed out that the debate on climate change is particularly important in Poland due to the upcoming COP24 Climate Summit, which will be held in Katowice.
The members of both teams have summarized the substantive scope of the projects they carry out. The team running the project “Implementation of Sustainable Development based on Social Responsible Transformation (WZROST)”, is responsible, among others, for the creation of the film “Critical Point”, the first Polish production comprehensively showing climate challenges, both on the scale of Poland and the world. The project also created substantive reports on these challenges.
During the meeting important information was gathered about possible communication channels with entities interested in project results, which will contribute to better dissemination of information about the effects of climate and energy policy.
